TLDR
The house follows one rule: everything serves the game room. A three-pastel palette — soft sage, warm peachy pink, muted pastel blue — gets mixed once in the Style Creator and repeats in every room, the hallway becomes a library, and the game room itself is staged for night, where soft lights and illuminated shelves do the work a dark colour scheme usually would.
- One palette, three pastels: mixed in the Style Creator, saved as swatches and reused from the kitchen tile to the bedroom so the whole house reads as one build.
- Signature moves to steal: cat-face tile behind the stove, an arch that turns the coffee corner into a station, a full library wall in the upstairs hallway, bath and shower in one bathroom.
- The game room is built to be seen at night — star string lights, a glowing desk mat and lit shelves add more atmosphere than any single object could.
- Towel note: the build originally used CC towels because the game had none; the official Hand and Bath Towel items arrived in patch 0.1.5, so the CC set is optional now.
- One Steam Workshop streamer career mod fits the room's story — vanilla players lose nothing visual — and the full CC list ships with the house download.
Foundations
Set the theme before the setups
Three decisions carry the whole house: one palette mixed in the Style Creator, one statement tile, and one architectural trick that gives the kitchen a second job. None of them are gaming-specific — which is exactly why they work.
- 1
Mix one three-colour palette in the Style Creator
Soft sage, warm peachy pink, muted pastel blue — the creator picks the triad early and repeats it in every room, so the house reads as one build instead of a furniture showroom. The Style Creator is what makes that cheap: open it on any surface, dial the colour wheel or paste a hex code, and save the mix as swatches you can re-apply everywhere.

Hex codes and saved swatches turn one palette decision into a house-wide shortcut.Watch at 2:50 - 2
Give the kitchen a statement backsplash
The kitchen's cat-face tile is the build's most shareable idea: playful, colourful and matched to the palette rather than fighting it. Lining the tiles up evenly takes some fiddling, and if you download the house, this exact tile comes with it from the creator's Workshop page.

Split the coffee corner off with an arch
A gamer kitchen needs a coffee station — late-night sessions don't sustain themselves — so the corner gets filled with mugs and a coffee machine, then an arch goes in to separate it. The arch is the whole trick: the same furniture stops reading as clutter and starts reading as a purpose-built coffee bar.

Same corner, new job: the arch turns kitchen overflow into a coffee bar.Watch at 10:04
The house around the room
Rooms that support the grind
A gamer's house still has to cook, bathe and do laundry. Each room below keeps its job but borrows the theme: consoles in the living room, a nook for the cat the game doesn't have yet, a library wall where most builds leave nothing.
- 4
Let the living room admit it's a gaming house
The living room rule here is 'someone actually spends time in here', not 'everything stays perfectly clean': lots of small decorations plus a few game consoles around the TV wall. Paralives even has a dedicated Game Consoles catalogue category — the handheld going onto the coffee table in this frame costs ₽399.

Stage a pet nook (the game has no pets yet)
Paralives has no real pets as of 0.1.8b — the creator says so outright, then stages the nook under the stairs anyway: a cat bed, a food bowl, a scratcher and a kitten decoration. It's pure storytelling with catalogue items, and it uses the same under-stairs geometry as a reading nook.

No pets in the game yet — the nook is staging, and it still steals the scene.Watch at 9:27 - 6
Refuse the bath-or-shower choice
This bathroom simply has both: a soaking tub plus a homemade shower enclosure built from sliding glass doors, with a little shelf for the cute bathroom accessories between them. Two fixtures, one room, no mods — just walls, glass and a decision.

Use the in-game towels (they're new)
The house was built about a week before the video, with CC towels — because Paralives didn't have any yet. Days later the official set landed: patch 0.1.5 added hand and bath towel items, and the creator swaps them in on camera. If you download the house now, you can skip that CC entirely.

Squeeze a washing machine into the dressing room
The upstairs dressing room is a cozy get-ready space — outfit corner, shoe shelf, mirror — and then the build wedges a washing machine under the shelves, laundry basket on top. Cozy plus functional is the point: the room earns its floor space twice.

Give the hallway a library wall
The upstairs hallway could have stayed nothing but a transition. Instead it gets an entire library wall plus a cozy reading corner — because, in the creator's words, she never likes to leave hallways empty if they could become something more. One big bookshelf buy and one bench, and the dead space has a job.

Off-screen time
Recharge zones
The build is honest about eyes and schedules. The bedroom drops the decor density on purpose, and the best seat in the house ends up outdoors by the fireplace, away from the screen.
- 10
Drop the density in the bedroom
After the busy kitchen and hallway, the bedroom deliberately goes quiet: fewer decorations, the same pastel palette, nothing competing for attention. It's the room the gamer is supposed to actually rest in between sessions — the plush toy net in the corner is the one non-negotiable.

Build the step-away-from-the-screen seat
The garden gets a seating area with an outdoor fireplace, kept in the same soft colours as the house. The creator's framing is the brief: a place to take a break, get some fresh air and simply relax before diving back into the game.

The main event
The gaming room, staged for night
Everything before this point was a warm-up. The game room is dressed in the dark on purpose: with soft lighting and illuminated shelves, the build gets its glow from light sources instead of a dark colour scheme.
- 12
Main event: build the desk wall
The game room gets a full desk wall: dual monitors, a headset on its stand, hexagon shelves above and gaming posters behind. The narration also names the one mod in the build — a streamer career from the Steam Workshop that fits the room's story. Our mod picks live in the best-mods guide; the room itself works without it.

Light it soft, then dress the desk
The formula for the room's mood is soft lighting, charming decorations, illuminated shelves — details that make you spend hours here without noticing the time. A glowing desk mat, a small lamp, candles and figurines from the decor catalogue turn the desk into the room's main light source.

Pair the desk with a lounge corner
The last corner she dresses is not another screen: a small sofa under a neon sign, a flower pillow, a side table with drinks. The room now works for hanging out while someone else plays — which, per the video's ending, is exactly how the gaming couple in this house uses it.

Vanilla, mod or CC? What this build actually adds
The room's objects are vanilla. Consoles, the gaming desk set, posters, plushies, the cat bed and the towel set are all in the base game — patch 0.1.5 added the towels in July 2026, and everything else shipped earlier. Nothing in the fourteen steps above requires a single file outside the official catalogue.
The build adds two outside things, both disclosed by the creator: a streamer career mod from the Steam Workshop — a job, not furniture, so vanilla players lose nothing visual — and a small amount of CC, itemised on the house's Workshop page. If you're new to outside content, start with our custom-content guide.
The third layer is the house itself: the whole build downloads from the creator's Steam Workshop together with her two custom print sets and the cat kitchen tile. Downloading a finished house and redecorating one room is a perfectly legitimate speed run towards your own gaming room.
Gaming room FAQ
- Does Paralives have a gaming room?
- Not as a pre-made room — every room in Paralives is one you build yourself in build mode. What the game ships as of 0.1.8b is the furniture a gaming room needs: computers, a dedicated Game Consoles catalogue category, gaming posters, plushies and, since patch 0.1.5, towels for the en-suite. This guide rebuilds one from a real speed build instead of a preset.
- Can I download the gaming room house from the video?
- Yes — the whole house is on ParalivesEmmy's Steam Workshop, linked in the video description, including her two custom print sets and the cat kitchen tile. Note that the build uses a small amount of CC (itemised on that page) and a streamer career mod; with the official towels in the game since patch 0.1.5, the CC towel set it originally used is skippable.
- Is there a streamer career in Paralives?
- Not in the base game as of 0.1.8b. The video uses a streamer career mod from the Steam Workshop — a career, not a room item — and recommends it for this house specifically. Vanilla players get the identical room; the mod only adds the job to match it.
- What colours should a Paralives gaming room use?
- Whatever you can repeat. This build skips the classic dark-neon look for a three-pastel palette — soft sage, peachy pink, muted pastel blue — mixed once in the Style Creator with hex codes and reused in every room. The glow in the game room comes from light sources, not from dark walls.
- When did Paralives add towels?
- Patch 0.1.5, released July 2, 2026, added hand and bath towel items to build mode. Before that, bathroom builds — including this house — used CC towels, which is why the video pauses to say you can swap them for the official set now.
- Do gaming room builds need mods or CC?
- No. The fourteen steps above are catalogue-only; the lighting trick is placement, not content. The build's own extras — a streamer career mod and a short CC list — change careers and small items, not the room itself, and both are listed on the house's Workshop page.
