How to get married in Paralives

Marriage in Paralives Early Access is a dialogue loop, not a wedding venue. There is no ceremony arch or event planner yet — you romance two adult Paras to the Lovers label, land the Propose card, then choose Elope Together under Discuss Relationship. This guide walks the full propose → engage → elope flow, the factors that raise proposal odds, what marriage actually changes in EA, and the mistakes that stall the pink card forever.

Romance and marriage run through conversation cards, not a wedding lot. Paralives Early Access 2026.

The short version

Build two adult Paras to a romantic Lovers relationship, keep flirting and Discuss Relationship cards going until the pink Propose card appears, accept a successful proposal to become engaged, then open Discuss Relationship again and pick Elope Together. That is the full Early Access marriage — there is no separate wedding ceremony yet.

  • Romance must reach the Lovers label first
  • Propose is a conversation card, not a ring object
  • Elope Together finishes the marriage in EA
  • Spouse funds merge when they move into your household

How to Get Married in Paralives

  1. 1

Pick two adults who can romance

Both Paras need to be Young Adult or older. Friendship alone is not enough — you need romantic interactions (flirt, compliment, go on dates, Discuss Relationship) until the relationship panel shows a romance track and eventually the Lovers label. Paramaker gender and orientation settings do not block same-sex couples; any two adults who can form a romance can marry.

  2. 2

    Push the relationship to Lovers

Spam positive romance socials and keep moods high. Negative vibes, mid-fight arguments, or leaving one Para exhausted will stall the track. When the relationship label hits Lovers, the pie menu starts offering deeper relationship cards, including the path to Propose.

  3. 3

    Land the Propose card

Open a conversation and look for the pink Propose card in the relationship stack (it often sits under Discuss Relationship style options). Proposal success is a percentage that rises with relationship strength, good mood (Overjoyed helps), and social skills such as charisma-style vibes. A failed proposal hurts the relationship — save first if you are running a challenge.

  4. 4

    Accept engagement

When the Propose card succeeds, the couple becomes engaged. You will see engagement language on the relationship panel. Engagement is the gate before Elope; you cannot skip straight from friends to spouses in the current EA build.

  5. 5

    Choose Elope Together

Open Discuss Relationship again and select Elope Together. That is the Early Access marriage action — there is no wedding ceremony, guest list, or wedding arch required. After eloping, the Paras are spouses.

  6. 6

Move in and (optionally) start a family

If the spouse still lives elsewhere, use Ask to move in so household funds merge and they share a lot. From Lovers onward you can also run the ask-to-have-children card and Try for Baby on a bed — see the baby guide for the pregnancy loop.

Common marriage mistakes

These four snags stop most players before the Propose card ever shows.

Mistake 1

Still only friends

Friendly chats never unlock Propose. You need romance-tagged interactions until the Lovers label appears.

Mistake 2

Looking for a wedding menu

EA has no ceremony planner. If you are hunting a wedding arch event, you will never find it — use Propose then Elope Together instead.

Mistake 3

Proposing while miserable

Low mood tanks the success percentage. Fix needs, grab an Overjoyed boost, then try again.

Mistake 4

Expecting inheritance as a separate system

Spouse wealth merges when they move into the household. There is no separate will or inheritance UI in EA.

Marriage FAQ

Straight answers for the questions players actually search.

How do you get married in Paralives?
Romance two adults to Lovers, use the Propose card to get engaged, then choose Elope Together under Discuss Relationship. That is the full Early Access marriage flow.
Can you have a wedding in Paralives?
Not in Early Access. The studio has talked about deeper wedding options later; today you elope through dialogue only.
Can same-sex couples marry?
Yes. Any two adult Paras who can form a romance relationship can propose and elope. Gender settings do not block marriage.
Why is Propose not showing up?
Usually the romance track is still below Lovers, one Para is a Teen, or both are busy/low mood. Keep romancing, free their schedules, and reopen Discuss Relationship.
What does marriage change?
You become spouses, can share a household more cleanly, and spouse funds merge on move-in. Family options like the children talk and Try for Baby still require the romance path described in the baby guide.
Can I divorce or remarry?
You can end relationships and form new ones. Challenge runs (for example Black Widow) treat one living spouse at a time as a house rule; the base game is more flexible.
Do I need a ring or special object?
No dedicated engagement ring item is required for the Propose card in EA. The flow is social-card based.
How is this different from Try for Baby?
Marriage is Propose + Elope. Babies need the Lovers-tier children talk plus Try for Baby on a bed (or adoption). You can have children without a big wedding, and you can marry without immediately trying for a baby.
