Paralives patch notes

Every build since the 25 May 2026 Early Access launch, newest first, with what each one actually changed — including the four "b" hotfixes most changelogs leave out.

Current build

Paralives is on 0.1.7c

0.1.7b shipped on 10 August 2026, the same day as the 0.1.7 quality-of-life patch, and fixed one urgent bug: Go Home and Edit Appearance no longer softlock the game while a Parafolk is holding a baby. 0.1.7 itself is the August 2026 update — redesigned Parababies, food storage in refrigerators, drinkable coffee, hugs for friends and family, street addresses for Melino, assigned bed slots and a lifespan rebalance from 98 to 112 days. Next is the first major update, scheduled for Q4 2026.

Reading the version numbers

0.1.x, 0.1.xb, and what counts as major

Paralives has used one numbering scheme since launch. The letter suffix is the part that confuses people, and it is also the part most changelogs quietly skip.

0.1.x — numbered patch

The regular update: bug fixes, quality-of-life changes, sometimes a reworked system. 0.1.6 rebuilt vacation days; 0.1.5 cut save files from roughly 500MB to 30MB. Each one gets full notes on the official news page.

0.1.xb — hotfix

A letter suffix means one urgent fix, shipped within days of the patch that caused it. 0.1.4b arrived the day after 0.1.4 because players could not see their save files at all.

Major updates

Bigger feature drops, tagged major below. Day 0 was the Early Access launch itself. The next one is scheduled for Q4 2026 with contents unannounced, and the studio has pledged that every update stays free — there is no paid DLC.

In the first eleven weeks of Early Access the studio shipped twelve builds: the launch build, six numbered patches and five hotfixes. Numbered patches landed 8, 12, 14, 14 and 25 days apart, and hotfixes followed the patch that needed them within one to six days. The official roadmap sets June through September aside for fixes, performance work and adjustments to existing features — but 0.1.7 on 10 August showed that 'adjustments' can still fill a feature list: fridge food storage, coffee, hugs, street addresses and a baby visual overhaul all shipped in one patch. The first major content update remains scheduled for Q4 2026.

Update schedule

The August 2026 update: 0.1.7, shipped 10 August

Yes — Paralives got its August update. Patch 0.1.7 landed on 10 August 2026 with hotfix 0.1.7b the same day. It is a quality-of-life patch rather than a content drop: Parababies were visually redesigned, food can now be stored in refrigerators, coffee is finally drinkable, hugs opened up to friends and family, and the average lifespan was rebalanced from 98 to 112 days.

Paralives Studio has never published a patch calendar, so there is no official date for the next build — only a verified rhythm. If the Early Access cadence holds, expect the next numbered patch roughly two to four weeks after 0.1.7, and the first major content update in Q4 2026 as stated on the official roadmap.

What the verified cadence says

  • Six numbered patches in eleven weeks — 0.1.2 through 0.1.7 — spaced 8 to 25 days apart.
  • Five hotfixes (the 0.1.xb line), each shipped within one to six days of the patch it fixes.
  • No official patch calendar exists; the roadmap blocks June–September for fixes and adjustments, with the first major update in Q4 2026.
  • This page updates within a day of every Steam announcement — the current build is 0.1.7c.

Patch notes FAQ

What is the latest version of Paralives?
0.1.6b, released on 17 July 2026. It is a hotfix for 0.1.6, which shipped the day before.
How often does Paralives get updated?
Five numbered patches landed in the first nine weeks of Early Access — roughly one every 12 days — with hotfixes following one to six days later whenever a patch broke something.
When is the next big Paralives update?
The official roadmap schedules the first major update for Q4 2026 and has not announced what it contains. June through September was set aside for fixes, performance and adjustments to existing features.
Will Paralives have paid DLC?
No. The studio commits on its Steam page to free updates throughout Early Access, with no paid DLC.
Why aren't pets, weather or pools in the patch notes yet?
They are promised during Early Access but none of them has a date. Pets, weather and seasons, pools, cars, gardening and fishing are all listed as planned rather than scheduled.
Do Paralives patches break mods?
They can. 0.1.3b existed purely to fix a "Reimporting assets" freeze that hit players with mods installed, and 0.1.4 added Workshop tags that required creators to re-tag their uploads in game. After any patch, turning mods off is the first troubleshooting step.
Was there a Paralives update in August 2026?
Yes. Patch 0.1.7 shipped on 10 August 2026, with hotfix 0.1.7b the same day. It is a quality-of-life patch: redesigned Parababies, fridge food storage, drinkable coffee, hugs for friends and family, street addresses, assigned beds and a lifespan rebalance to 112 days on average.
Does Paralives have a fixed update schedule?
No — Paralives Studio has never published a patch calendar. The verified Early Access rhythm is a numbered patch every 8–25 days with hotfixes following within a week. The official roadmap puts the first major content update in Q4 2026.
