Is Paralives on Xbox?

Not yet. Paralives is PC and Mac only in Early Access, sold through Steam. The developers have said no console versions are planned at the moment, so Xbox isn't ruled out long-term but nothing is in development.

Is Paralives coming to PS5?

There's no PS5 release or date confirmed. As with Xbox, no console version is planned at the moment. For now you play on PC or Mac via Steam.

Is Paralives on Nintendo Switch?

No Switch version is announced. The game targets PC first; any console release, including Switch, would come well after the PC Early Access period if it happens at all.

Does Paralives work on Mac?

Yes. Paralives supports macOS (including Apple Silicon) on Steam, alongside Windows. Check the system requirements page for the current minimum and recommended specs.

Can you play Paralives on Steam Deck?

Yes, it runs on Steam Deck with some tuning. See our Steam Deck guide for the settings and control tweaks that give the smoothest experience.

Is Paralives free?

No. Paralives is a paid game with a one-time purchase and no Sims-style paid DLC model. There's no free-to-play version.

Is Paralives on Xbox Game Pass?

No. Since there's no Xbox version, it isn't on Game Pass. It's a direct purchase on Steam.

Gameplay — can you…?

Can you turn off aging in Paralives?

Yes. Open the Storyteller settings (Escape → customise storyteller) and toggle aging for household and non-household Paras. You can also use console commands to age a Para up or down on demand.

Can you have multiple saves?

Yes. Paralives supports multiple save files, so you can run separate households or experiments without overwriting your main game.

Can you have multiple households?

Yes. The town holds multiple households and you can switch the one you actively control, with the others living in the same open neighbourhood.

Can you adopt in Paralives?

Yes. Adoption is an alternative to pregnancy for couples who can't conceive or single Paras who want a child — see the babies & toddlers and have-a-baby guides for the full family flow.

Can you garden in Paralives?

Gardening-style activities exist in a limited form in Early Access and the system is expected to grow with future updates. It isn't as deep as a dedicated farming sim yet.

Can you have same-sex couples in Paralives?

Yes. Paralives is built to be inclusive — any two Paras can romance, move in and start a family regardless of gender, including through adoption.

Can you edit a character's appearance after creation?

Yes. You can revisit the character editor (Paramaker) to adjust a Para's look, and cheats like edit character open it for existing Paras.

Features — does Paralives have…?

Does Paralives have multiplayer?

No. Paralives is a single-player life sim. There's no online or co-op multiplayer mode, and none has been announced.

Does Paralives have pets?

Not yet. Dogs, cats and horses are officially confirmed to arrive during Early Access as a free update, but they are not in the current build and no date is set. Check the roadmap for the latest status.

Does Paralives have cars?

Functional drivable cars aren't a core feature in Early Access. The world is walkable and open; vehicles, if expanded, would come through later updates.

Does Paralives have controller support?

Paralives is designed mouse-and-keyboard first. It's playable with a controller via Steam Input / Steam Deck mappings, but there's no full native console-style controller UI yet.

Does Paralives autosave?

Treat saving as manual — save often. Autosave behaviour is limited in Early Access, so if you hit a crash or a stuck save, our save-stuck fix guide covers recovery.

Does Paralives have an open world?

Yes. Melino is an open neighbourhood your Paras can move around without hard loading screens between lots, which is one of the headline differences from Sims 4.

Does Paralives use AI-generated content?

Paralives is hand-crafted by its studio; its art and design aren't an AI-content product. Player-facing systems are authored, not generated on the fly.
