Paralives field guide

Paralives Secrets & Easter Eggs

Melino keeps its secrets behind bookshelves, inside newspapers and under lawns. This page lists only what can be traced to a cited source — and keeps the rumors in their own room at the bottom, clearly marked.

Most of Melino's secrets hide in plain sight — the trick is knowing which doors are doors.

Facts above, rumors below — never mixed

Every numbered entry is traceable: to the community wiki's cited gameplay footage, or to this site's source-checked collectibles data. The rumors section at the bottom only carries items the wiki itself flags as speculation. Where nothing documents a secret, we say so instead of guessing.

Verified secrets, and where to find them

Six entries, each with its source. The Town Hall passage route is folded away behind a spoiler toggle.

1

The Town Hall secret passage

Behind a plain white fireplace — easy to walk straight past — the Town Hall hides a chain of rooms connected through bookshelves, wardrobes and fireplaces. Choose the wrong portal and your Para is sent back to the start. The hidden rooms hold paintings that sell for Paradimes, and the route ends at a golden chest.

Spoilers: show the passage route

The correct sequence

  1. Use the white fireplace next to the stacked cardboard boxes and choose "Go through secret passage".
  2. Take the bookshelf on the left.
  3. Take the wardrobe on the right.
  4. Take the fireplace on the right.
  5. Take the bookshelf on the right.

Entered from the Town Hall's upper floor: a white fireplace standing next to stacked cardboard boxes. The chest holds a small crowned figurine covered in kisses that you can keep as a decoration.

2

The Library's disguised doors

The building next door plays the same trick. The wiki's secrets roundup credits the Library with trapdoors and disguised doors of its own, so treat the shelves as suspects and check high and low — trapdoors count as entrances too.

3

Moustache Man is everywhere, if you read the paper

The New Paper keeps asking "Who is Moustache Man?" over a photo of a man in obscuring sunglasses. The community wiki ties the mystery to Roberto Robert, the day-one Parafolk who fronts the train tutorial and is, stat-wise, the most skilled Parafolk in the game. You will meet his portrait on the skill-mastery wall by the Town Hall — and, if the passage likes you, painted inside it.

Whether Roberto really is Moustache Man is unconfirmed — see the rumors section below.

4

Buried trunks: the treasure under the lawn

Dig spots around Melino open buried trunks holding paintings and artefacts — 41 paintings and 31 artefacts at last count — that sell for Paradimes or donate to the museum. The museum pays on a running total, and its reward track tops out at 90 donations. The full price list lives on our collectibles page.

Counts and values come from this site's collectibles data, checked against the wiki's Collectibles article.

5

The meteor gem

Meteors occasionally crash down around Melino, and the rock they leave behind is a collectible gem — the most valuable gem in the game, and the one the museum will not accept. Sell it, or put it on a pedestal and let it be conversation.

Sell value and rarity come from this site's collectibles data; the crashes themselves were caught on camera in launch-week creator videos.

6

Small wonders around Melino

Launch-week gameplay roundups documented a batch of smaller secrets. None carries a quest — they are flavor, and that is the charm:

  • Garbage Day: on Mondays, free furniture is put out for pickup.
  • Crates wash up on the beach shore.
  • A zipline links Mountain Top Park to Castle Plaza (it fades to black — no animation yet).
  • A tunnel runs under the Old Town district.
  • Ice cream carts set up at Castle Plaza.
  • A New Paper headline teases an outdoor cinema.
  • Panoramic binoculars hidden somewhere scenic.
  • A memorial waits inside the Community Center.

Rumors

Rumors — interesting, unproven

These circulate widely enough that readers ask about them. None clears the sourcing bar the verified list uses; in each case the wiki documents the rumor and explicitly declines to confirm it.

“Roberto Robert is Moustache Man”

Unverified

The strongest rumor on this page. The name echoes a 19th-century Catalan writer famous for his moustache, and the in-game clues all point his way — but the wiki states outright that the name nod does not confirm the identity. Treat it as flavor until the game says otherwise.

“The broken train cost Roberto his job”

Unverified

A wiki-authored speculation rather than game text: the day-one newspaper shows the train broken, Roberto has no career listed, and the two may be connected. No in-game content confirms the story.

This section is deliberately short. Anything that cannot be traced to a cited source stays off the page entirely.
