How it works
Two goal systems, one page
Life Goals
- Life Goals are long-term objectives drawn from the Life Goals deck of Story Cards — the same card system that serves Wants.
- The game suggests them; you never pick one directly. Vibe, social perks, Talents, Stats, emotions, recent history, environment and relationships all feed what gets drawn.
- Goals track either one Para (individual) or the whole household — the two tutorial goals are the documented household-level example.
- Completing goals pays Personality Points (xp), the currency you spend upgrading a Para's personality.
- Per the official Live Mode video, finishing an entire thematic group grants a perk — what those perks are is not yet documented anywhere.
Townie Requests
- Short quests handed out by the citizens of Melino — pick them up at any bulletin board (exclamation point above it) or by talking to a townie who shows the same marker.
- All bulletin boards share the same list, and new requests appear every day.
- Accepted requests are tracked in the active Para's character panel.
- Finished the objectives? You must find the townie again to claim the reward — 100 Paradimes plus friendship with them.
- If the request giver dies before you turn it in, the request fails automatically (patch 0.1.3).

All 30 life goals, by category
wiki.gg groups goals into seven categories, splitting Relationships into Friendship/Romance and Skills into Fitness/Guitar — the nine tables below mirror that structure. Objectives are rewritten summaries of the wiki tables, not copied text.
Tutorial2 goals
Two household-level goals that onboard a new save — triggered by moving into a new town, or claimable from The New Paper. Lower rewards by design.

Points of View: where the binoculars are
Points of View is one of the first exploration requests most players draw, and the task text only tells you to check out the memorial and the binoculars without marking either on the map. The memorial half is easy. The binoculars are the problem: there is exactly one pair in all of Melino.
- 1Look at the Community Center ruins memorial — the plaque by the ruins in Old Town, near The Cellar Door.
- 2Head to the northernmost park lot on the map: northwest of the De Belcourt household, directly west of the open cattle field.
- 3Click the coin-operated binoculars there and choose 'Look at panoramic view' — that interaction ticks the second objective.
- 4Press Esc to leave the view, then find the request giver again to claim 100 Paradimes and friendship.
This single request spawned its own mini-genre of guides — Destructoid, games.gg and xboxplay all published one in late May 2026 — precisely because the game never tells you where the binoculars are.

What nobody has verified yet
Rather than guess, this page lists what no citable source currently documents:
- Branch unlock order: wikily arranges the goals into seven trees where finishing a root goal unlocks the next tier, with six of them branching. The community wiki lists only flat categories and no official video documents the edges, so every 'who unlocks what' arrow traces to wikily alone.
- Collect Rare Items reward: wikily's FAQ claims it pays $3,000 instead of the standard reward. The wiki states all requests pay 100 Paradimes plus friendship, so the $3,000 figure is unconfirmed.
- A 'maximum of 3 requests per day' limit appears only in wikily's FAQ; the wiki says new requests appear daily without giving a cap.
- Five requests (Grandma's Remedy, Grill Skills, Hang Out with People Around Town, Play for the Dead, Public Duty) carry the literal rarity None — whether that means unassigned, hidden, or a special trigger is undocumented.
- Loyal Worker's reward: the wiki table shows a dash and wikily does not list one either.
- Naming differs between sources: the wiki's 'Eat at Crème Café' is 'Test Creme Cafe' on wikily, and 'Dance Like Nobody's Watching' becomes 'Dance Like Nobody is Watching'. This page follows the wiki spellings.
- How the request giver is chosen: one guide claims the game assigns a random non-household adult townie, while the wiki documents only the two pickup methods.
- The group-completion perk mentioned in the official Live Mode video has never been detailed by any source.
- All XP values (10 and 40) come from the wiki tables alone — wikily does not list XP for goals.
FAQ
- How many life goals are in Paralives?
- 30 in the current Early Access build, across nine categories: Tutorial (2), Breadwinner (4), Big House (3), Community (1), Family (3), Friendship (4), Romance (5), Fitness (4) and Guitar (4). There are also 29 townie requests — some sites count both together and advertise 59 goals.
- How do I get new life goals?
- Life Goals are drawn from the Life Goals deck of Story Cards and suggested by the game based on context: your Para's Vibe, perks, Talents, Stats, emotions, recent history, environment and relationships. You cannot pick them directly — shaping those factors is how you steer what appears. The two tutorial goals trigger when you move into a new town or claim them from The New Paper.
- Where do I pick up townie requests?
- At any bulletin board in Melino — look for the exclamation point floating above it — or by talking directly to a townie who shows the same marker. All boards share one list that refreshes daily, and accepted requests are tracked in the character panel.
- Where are the binoculars for the Points of View request?
- There is only one pair in the whole town: on the northernmost park lot, northwest of the De Belcourt household and directly west of the cattle field. Click them and choose 'Look at panoramic view' to tick that objective. The Points of View card above walks through the full request.
- What do townie requests pay?
- Every completed request pays the same reward: 100 Paradimes plus friendship with the townie who posted it. You have to find the townie again after finishing the objectives to claim it — and if they die first, the request fails (a rule added in patch 0.1.3).
- What is the reward for finishing a whole group of life goals?
- Each goal pays Personality Points: 10 xp for the two tutorial goals and 40 xp for the rest, except Loyal Worker, whose reward is not listed. The official Live Mode video mentions a perk for completing an entire thematic group, but no source has detailed what those perks are.
