Field samples give 1.5× XP over indoor microscope work. The Focus vibe adds +30% on Science skills — kick it in with the 'Intense drive to work' Story Card or a coffee. From level 7, the 'Nutritional Study' cross-domain interaction (needs Cooking 5+) gives 1.3× XP to both skills.

What slows you down

Don't train only at the microscope — the 1.5× field-sample bonus is worth a trip once per in-game day. Don't skip the Focus vibe; it's a free +30%. And don't neglect Cooking, or you miss the level-7 cross-domain 1.3× bonus.
