100 Baby Challenge

The 100 Baby Challenge is the ultimate Paralives endurance run: one matriarch, one hundred children, and a revolving door of partners. Sims 4 leaned on woohoo and birth-control toggles that Paralives Early Access doesn't ship yet, so this version rewrites the count, the partner rules and the move-out timing to fit how Paralives actually handles pregnancy, twins and adoption today.

TL;DR — the 100 Baby run in one paragraph

One matriarch gives birth to 100 children. She never holds a job and never uses money cheats — the household survives on partners, older children and what the home produces. Every pregnancy must come from a new partner. Children leave the count as soon as they reach Young Adult and move out. Twins and triplets each add to the total, so the Storyteller multiple-birth odds are your best friend.

  • One matriarch, 100 children, no money cheats
  • Each pregnancy needs a different partner
  • Twins and triplets all count toward 100
  • Raise the multiple-birth odds in Storyteller settings

The six core rules

Tuned to what Paralives Early Access actually ships. Where the Sims 4 version relied on woohoo or birth control, this run uses the Try-for-Baby and pregnancy-test flow instead.

  1. 1

    Pick and lock the matriarch

Generation zero is a single adult Para. In Paramaker's Advanced Personality options (the three dots by the gender setting), set her to 'can get pregnant' — the one fertility flag that can't be changed once the game starts. She is the only Para who gives birth for the entire run.

  2. 2

    No job, no money cheats

The matriarch never holds a career. The household lives on partners who move in, the wages of grown children before they leave, and what the home produces — paintings, garden crops, cooked meals. SETMONEY, PRINTMONEY, MAKEITRAIN, JACKPOT, PIGGYBANK and LOTTERY are all banned for the whole run.

  3. 3

A new partner for every pregnancy

Each child (or set of multiples) must be fathered by a different partner. Build the relationship to the Lovers label, use the 'ask to have children together' card, then select both Paras and choose Try for Baby. Once she's pregnant, that partner is done — break it off or move them out before the next.

  4. 4

Children count when born, leave when grown

Every baby the matriarch delivers adds to the tally, including twins and triplets. A child stops occupying a household slot the moment they reach Young Adult and move out. You're racing the 8-Para household cap as much as the clock — keep aging up and moving out the eldest.

  5. 5

    Adoption is capped at 10

Any adult can adopt at the hospital or pharmacy in town. Adoption is allowed here but capped at 10 of the 100 — a relief valve when the house is full of toddlers, not a shortcut. Adopted children still age up and move out like any other.

  6. 6

One save, played start to finish

Single save file, no reloading a failed Try-for-Baby or a bad pregnancy roll. EDITCHARACTER is allowed only to fix visual clipping, never to flip the fertility flag or rebuild a partner mid-run.

Milestone ladder

From baby 1 to baby 100

The run is one loop repeated until the count hits 100. These five checkpoints flag where the difficulty shifts and what to optimise at each stage.

Babies 1–10: find your rhythm

The opening ten teach the loop — romance, ask-to-have-children card, Try for Baby, pregnancy test, the three in-game-day pregnancy, birth, repeat. Keep a crib ready before each birth so newborn needs don't bottom out.

Babies 11–30: manage the household cap

This is where the 8-Para limit bites. Age the oldest children up and move them out the moment they reach Young Adult so there's always room for the next pregnancy. A multi-bedroom home earns its keep here.

Babies 31–60: lean on multiples

Halfway. Raise the twin and triplet odds in the Storyteller settings — every set of multiples is one pregnancy that counts for two or three. Older children can cook and mind toddlers to keep the matriarch free to romance and gestate.

Babies 61–90: the autonomy grind

Paralives' strong autonomy means grown children handle most needs themselves. Set them autonomous and spend your clicks on the matriarch. Money gets tight as kids leave; sell paintings and garden produce to cover the bills.

Babies 91–100: the home stretch

Final ten. Keep the matriarch out of the Elder stage long enough to finish — watch her age and slow the Storyteller aging speed if needed so she stays fertile all the way to 100.

Strategy

How to actually grind 100 babies

The challenge is logistics, not luck. These four habits keep the loop fast and the household alive.

Tune the Storyteller before you start

Open the Storyteller settings and raise both the pregnancy chance and the twin/triplet odds. Slowing aging speed keeps the matriarch fertile longer and gives each child more time at home to max bonds.

Build wide, not fancy

You need bedrooms and bathrooms, not luxury. A simple multi-bedroom home with two bathrooms, a big kitchen and a play area beats a designer build. Size it with the build-budget planner before you place a wall.

Let autonomy raise the kids

Paralives Paras are unusually self-sufficient. Switch older children to autonomous, scatter a few skill objects like easels and bookshelves, and they'll level up and feed themselves while you work the romance loop.

Bank income before partners leave

A working teen or young adult earns wages right up until they move out. Stack a couple of earners, pay down the bills, then let them go. The matriarch herself never earns a Paradime.

Fail conditions (when the run is over)

Two hard fails end the run outright; the partner rule is the one most players trip on.

Stop 1

The matriarch ages out or dies

If she reaches Elder and can no longer get pregnant, or dies before child 100, the run ends. Manage the Storyteller aging speed and keep her needs healthy. Hard fail.

Stop 2

A money cheat is used

Any of SETMONEY, PRINTMONEY, MAKEITRAIN, JACKPOT, PIGGYBANK or LOTTERY ends the run. The whole point is surviving on partners and children. Hard fail.

Stop 3

The same partner fathers two pregnancies

Each pregnancy must come from a different partner. Move the current one out before the next Try for Baby. Reusing a partner voids the run.

EA compatibility notes

How the classic rules map onto Paralives Early Access today.

  • Pregnancy, twins and triplets are all in EA — the Storyteller settings control the odds.
  • Adoption works now: any adult can adopt at the hospital or pharmacy in town.
  • There's no birth-control or risky-woohoo toggle yet, so the Try-for-Baby and pregnancy-test confirm step replaces the Sims 4 randomiser.
  • The household cap is 8 Paras, so moving grown children out on time is mandatory, not optional.

100 Baby Challenge FAQ

The six questions players ask most before starting a 100 Baby run.

Can the matriarch have a job in the 100 Baby Challenge?
No. The classic rule bans the matriarch from any career. The household survives on partners who move in, the wages of older children before they leave, and home production like paintings and garden crops.
Do twins and triplets count toward 100?
Yes — every child the matriarch delivers counts, so multiples are a fast track. Raise the twin and triplet odds in the Storyteller settings to speed the run.
How long does the 100 Baby Challenge take in Paralives?
Each pregnancy is about three in-game days, plus the romance time to line up a new partner. Realistically that's many real-time hours; most runs are played in long sessions over weeks.
Can I use cheats at all?
No money cheats. Baby cheats like GETPREGNANT or GIVEBIRTH defeat the purpose in a legit run, though they're fine for a casual no-rules version. EDITCHARACTER is only for fixing visual clipping.
What happens when the household hits 8 Paras?
Paralives caps a household at 8 Paras, so you can't start the next pregnancy until someone moves out. Age your oldest children to Young Adult and move them out to free the slot.
Can a same-sex matriarch run this challenge?
Yes. As long as the matriarch is set to 'can get pregnant' in Paramaker, her partners' gender doesn't matter for the births. If a partner can't get her pregnant, romance them for story and use a fertile partner for the actual pregnancy.
